Corky Stanton and Scott Cockerham opened Oakhurst Computers at the end of 2007 and made Mathew Sands the General Manager. Mathew is also the owner of his own web company, Oakhurst Online, and owns a local online community called Yosemite Area Online.

Three candidates will compete for the next several months to see who can raise the most funds for their non-profit organizations, with each $1 raised counting as a vote. The winner will serve as an ambassador for Oakhurst by attending special events and ribbon cuttings throughout the next year.
Mat Sands is running to raise money for the Harry H. Baker Boys & Girls Club. The Club temporarily suspended operations as of February 1st due to a lack of funding. The children of our community need The Club to be reopened as soon as possible. You can help us make that happen by donating cash or items for our online auction. In addition, you can purchase "Mat for Honorary Mayor" Merchandise and attend the fund raising events we have planned throughout the campaign.
